Around the exhibition of the painter George Grosz, From Berlin to New York (1912-1957), CaixaForum Palma has organized an interesting cycle of German expressionism cinema. It ends with Das Kabinett del Dr. Caligari (The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari), a silent film directed by Robert Wiene in 1920. It is considered the first expressionist film in history and one of the pioneers in introducing the 'twist' in a movie plot.
