The second round of the 53 Festival de Pollença opts for a very special program. On one side the Four Seasons by Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi; on the other variations of this masterpiece which Scottish pianist and composer Max Richter has done and titled Recomposed. Les Quatre Estacions de Vivaldi recomposed.
It is a very personal review of the popular work with amazing sound input and electronic arrangements. Throughout his career, Richter has worked with figures of electronic and minimalist music like Brian Eno, Philip Glass or Arvo Pärt and groups like Future Sound of London.
The concert will be conducted by the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands under the direction of Daniel Hope, who will also act as a violinist.
