This concert allows us to follow the evolution of the trio format with piano from the purest romanticism to impressionism, and also the subsequent readings from a Catalan point of view.
The Trio Arriaga is regarded by critics as one of the leaders of today’s music scene. Formed by Felipe Rodriguez (violin), David Apellániz (cello) and Daniel Ligorio (piano)
The repertoire includes works by Brahms, who represents the quintessential romanticism, Debussy and Cassadó, Pau Casals favorite disciple who studied in Paris with Ravel.
The concert is part of the musical season CaixaForum, which also has concerts scheduled on February 19 and March 5.
