Born in Montevideo in 1971, he lives and works for more than a decade in Palma. Now he returns with this exhibition which refers again to earn his bread by the blood of his forehead because sweat is not enough, art that speaks of art. He understands that good art has to be terrorist and anarchist, a burning candle on a can of gasoline. Not for nothing he has installed a taxi sawed in two parts in the oratory of the gallery Kewening.
Marcelo Víquez is a multidisciplinary artist who combines drawing, painting, photography, video and installation. His motto in life: to question the contradictions of a society that has welcomed him as an outsider.
