The urban art project Wallpeople was created in 2009 in Barcelona and soon has become a global movement in which this year are involved forty-five cities, among which are New York, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Berlin, Sydney, Barcelona, Madrid and also Palma de Mallorca.
Behind the event, of which the theme this year is Music Edition, are Pau Quijano and David Marcos two publicists who aim at promoting the creativity of people and claim public space as a means of expression. The proposal provides an opportunity for all those who have something to show the world and can hardly do it in a museum or an art gallery.
The Wallpeople 2013: Music Edition takes place in the external Es Baluard and is open to participation by anyone who wishes. The participants will come on Saturday at five in the afternoon with one or more works of their creation and will hang them on the wall of the enclosure. They must be light works, which can be attached with adhesive tape or glue.
The theme has to be musical but all formats accepted: painting, illustration, photography, collage, comic, fabric covers, handmade cards, etc..
The exhibition will last about four hours, after which the authors withdraw their works or can exchange them with works of other participants.
