That same afternoon, inside the church, artists Ingrid Medina & Curro Viera will carry out the performance En construcción.
One of the events of the fair is the opening of a new cultural center of Pollença. This is the Casal de Can Llobera, which houses the historical archive and the city library Guillem Cifre de Colonya. It opens with an exhibition of projects submitted to the competition of ideas.
Young local artists will also have their space in Nova Arts, an exhibition in the Club Pollensa featuring the work of seven artists from Pollença between 18 and 24 years: Gastón Rosa Bauza, Miriam Camacho, Vero Guerrero, Aina Llompart, Camila Salerno, Dianne Checa and Maria Llompart. In addition, the Museum of Pollença opens the exhibition of Osvaldo Leite Mirades des de Pollenca.
The fair includes a livestock show with sheep and goat tasting organized by the Cooperativa Pagesa de Pollensa. These producers have their own quality brand of lamb Mè de Pollenca. Furthermore, the Associació de Comerciants (Association of Shopkeepers) from Pollensa organize a lottery during these days of the fair where you can earn vouchers redeemable for cash.
Music will liven up these days with performances by U Jazz Quintet (Saturday 8th), Julie & Pep Toni and Guillem Segui Jr., Federico Fossati and Johnny on the Rocks, The Hustlers and Damia Oliver (Sunday 9th). The tradition also marks the essence of this fair, as unveiled by the poster made by the young designer Coloma Ferragut, and the show ball de pagès that will take place on Saturday 8. There will be popular ballad performances from the groups Ballugal y Terra Roja.
An original idea included in this year's program is the photocall installed on the door of the House Museu of Can Llobera where grandchildren can be photographed with their grandparents. The initiative is part of the campaign Mira, mira els padrins i les padrines! launched by the city Council and which pays tribute to grandparents of Pollenca.
