From March 1 to 10, at the Verònica de Sant Marçal in Sa Cabaneta, the XXXIX Fira del Fang is held, which this year has as its theme Ceramics in the rural world. The relationship between ceramics and the rural world continues to be a living testimony of the interconnection between art, tradition and practical need. Over the years, ceramics have gone from being an essential tool in everyday life to becoming an artistic medium that keeps the essence of the rural world alive.
The Fira del Fang is one of the most outstanding fairs in the sector – it was awarded the National Ceramics Award in 2013 by the Spanish Association of Ceramic Cities – and an essential event to learn about the work of ceramic artisans not only from Marratxí, where clay is a hallmark, also of the rest of Mallorca and the peninsula. A unique opportunity to purchase all types of clay pieces, from kitchen utensils to decorative objects, toys or artistic pieces.
In addition to being able to visit the stands of the participating ceramists, the fair has an extensive program of parallel activities that takes place throughout the ten days that the fair lasts.
