Albert Camus (Algeria , 1913 - France, 1960 ) was the first libertarian thinker and rebel who fought against all ideologies and abstractions that take man away from the human. From Christianity and Marxism to existentialism, although he is often associated with this movement. He defined it as the philosophy of the absurd according to which existence has no meaning and there is no destination marked, so that human beings have the right to freedom and choose our way.

When the centenary of the birth of Nobel Prize for Literature in 1957 is celebrated, the Teatre Principal de Palma presents this own production of El malentès  (The misunderstanding ) directed by Andrés Lima, director by Animalario company.

Le Malentendu  (its original title) is one of five plays written by Camus. It is divided into three acts and tells the story of Jan, a young man who returns to his hometown as a successful man with his wife. They stay in the hostel run by his mother and sister waiting for the right moment to reveal his true identity. However cruel fate awaits them, as these women are dedicated to murder travelers who spend the night in the place.

El malentès is played by Catherine Florit, Albert Aileen, Apol • Lonia Serra, Rosa Serra and Mercedes Sancho de la Jordana. It soundtrack by Jaume Manresa, keyboardist Antònia Font.
