An exhibition of Italian Mauro Ceolin that explores the impact of images in society and relationships of continuity, based on the memetic models, information theory and cultural anthropology.
A series of works by the artist are set to 'speed reports' distribution of films and television series. Ceolin takes special interest in the titles of science fiction and the intended for a young audience, in which he proposes with particular clarity a clash between the natural and the artificial, the fictional and the real.
Stills from films of very different origin from Solaris (Andrei Tarkovsky, 1972) and Melancholia (Lars von Trier, 2011) to Men In Black 3 (Barry Sonnenfeld, 2012) and The Muppets (James Bobin, 2001) joined with fragments of television series like Black Mirror (Charlie Brooker, 2011 -) or Misfits (Howard Overman, 2009 -) as specimens of a study that seeks to reveal some aspects of evolutionary rules of our collective imagination.
With this exhibition SKL participates in the celebration of Art Palma Brunch, an event which on Saturday morning April 6, from 11:30 to 14: 30 hours brings together art and food tasting.
