A group exhibition which consists of works by Domenico Bianchi (Rome, 1955), Jannis Kounellis (El Pireo, 1936) and Jaume Plensa (Barcelona, 1955)

The painting of the Italian Bianchi moves in a balance between abstraction and allusion to a slightly recognizable figure. He uses materials like wax, platinum, silver, fiberglass or thin sheets of metal. In the second half of the 80s, he introduced plaster as a support and in the 90’s the help of the computer to transform dimensional figures into spherical shapes.

In 1963 the Greek artist Jannis Kounellis began to use various elements in his paintings: sackcloth, gold or earth, he changed the frames of his paintings by others made of beds, doors or windows. When joining the Arte Povera in 1967, he began to introduce other materials in his installations (smoke, coal, meat, etc ...). He gradually ignores the canvas as a surface and uses metal plates as main support. He still continues his research with everyday materials, but moved to larger scale work.

Jaume Plensa is considered as one of the top rated Spanish artists in the national and international scene. His works, highly personal and elaborate, are designed to make the viewer feel invited to interact with them. All have as a central axis the human dimension and its relationship with the environment. He is passionate about the relationship between the human body and written language.
