Giacomo Puccini’s unfinished grand opera returns to the Teatre Principal in a new production, just as it marks 100 years since the composer’s death. Turandot is part of the 39th Opera Season.
On this occasion, we will be able to enjoy the complete ending of Turandot, which Franco Alfano composed after Puccini’s death. The ice princess, the three enigmas, the unknown prince, the threatening moon... A whole series of elements that, with the sublime music, make this opera one of the most applauded by the general public and one of the most appreciated by the expert public. For this newly created opera, the costumes of Turandot from the 1993 Principal have been restored.
Musical direction by Giuseppe Finzi, stage direction by Alessandra Premoli, choreography by Joan Taltavull and set design by Nathalie Deana.
