On a classic plot, written in 1771 by Joan Ramis i Ramis, the creative laboratory of La Trup proposes this intervention applying a critical look at the patriarchal values ??that it transmits and with full awareness of the historical context of the work.

Arminda is a shepherdess who lives in the court of the Count of Barcelona. Don Ramón, the count's nephew and heir, falls in love with her. But that love gets in the way of the political marriage that had been arranged for Don Ramon, and from then on the whole world decides on Arminda's life without her opinion being taken into account. The conflict grows: Arminda goes to jail, Don Ramon leads a revolt and the Count sentences them to death.

On her part, Arminda's father reveals a series of secrets, which make the Count of Barcelona understand that she is actually his daughter and that the marriage of Arminda and Don Ramón is necessary.

Directed by Sergi Marí and original music by Pere P. Ripoll, Arminda, una història d'homes is performed by Queralt Albinyana, Rodo Gener, Eugeni Marí, Josep Mercadal, Xavier Núñez and Àlvar Triay. Catalan language.
