Charles Lloyd, one of the most original and creative saxophonists of the last decades, closes the 14th Jazz Voyeur Festival leading his new quartet, which includes Gerald Clayton (piano), Reuben Rogers (double bass) and Kendrick Scott (drums) .

At 83, Charles Lloyd returns to the ring with new recordings and a tour with four of the best jazz musicians of the new generation. His is a unique case of a musician who sailed in different waters, sold a million records and even had the pleasure of disappearing from the scene for ten years at the peak of his popularity.

After passing through the Chico Hamilton quintet and the Cannonball Adderley sextet in the 1960s, Lloyd joined his own group, which included the pianist Keith Jarrett, whose later career is known and celebrated.

Part of Lloyd's fascinating history and journey was reflected in the documentary Arrows into Infinity, which was released to celebrate his 80th birthday and is essential to delve into the fascinating creative process of a great jazz legend. This film will be screened on November 16 with free admission at the Catalina Valls Municipal Theater as part of the parallel activities of the 14th Jazz Voyeur Festival.
