The French pianist François Dumont closes the 41st edition of the Valldemossa Chopin Festival with a concert dedicated entirely to the Polish composer for whom the festival is named.
François Dumont (Lyon, 1985) has been awarded at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw and at the Queen Elisabeth Competition. He has appeared as a soloist with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, Les Siecles Orchestra or the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, among others.
His recordings include the Complete Sonatas by Mozart, the complete piano music by Ravel, two recitals by Chopin and the nocturnes by Chopin, Moussorgsky and Bach.

The Chopin Festival is organized by the Associació Festivals Chopin de Valldemossa. It is directed by pianist Miquel Estelrich and, in this edition, it will program four concerts on Sundays from August 8 to 29, which are held in la Cartuja de Valldemossa.
