Mario Gas directs this contemporary tragedy full of classic evocations written by Wajdi Mouawad, an exciting and heartbreaking portrait of war and helplessness. The production has a luxury cast led by Nuria Espert and Ramón Barea.
A woman just died. She leaves to her children, among other objects, two envelopes that turn into true boxes of Pandora, from where will come wonders and also all sorts of evils. The contents of these envelopes will lead to a fabulous odyssey, to a distant continent, to an unknown past.
Of Canadian nationality, Wajdi Mouawad was born in Lebanon in 1968 and at age eight left the country with his family in the midst of the civil war. An exile that would lead them first to Paris and, later, to Quebec. Some experiences that have been the source of his monumental trilogy Littoral, Incendies and Fôrets.
Together with Nuria Espert and Ramón Barea the cast is completed by Lucía Barrado, Álex García, Alberto Iglesias, Laia Marull, Carlota Olcina and Edu Soto.
