The artist Julia Galan (Castellón, 1963) presents this project in which she reflects on the different roles that men and women assume imposed by culture, tradition, religion or standards.
Bacia is the name of an African woman who can symbolize all people subjected to violence and domination of the stronger over the weaker at any given time. In this photographic series is reflected in a poetic way the horror and cruelty to which women are subjected, symbolized by images of flowers.
A succession of atrocities that continue to occur today with total impunity and which Julia Galan denunciates in this project such as genital mutilation, the stonings or trafficking and sexual slavery.
