The first proposal of the XXXVII Temporada d'Òpera of Palma's Teatre Principal is this updated version of L'Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi, considered the first masterpiece in the history of opera.
With set design by Céline Perrigon, musical direction by Federico Maria Sardelli and stage direction by Yves Lenoir, who has found a new incarnation of the myth by going to look for Orfeo in the bedroom of a Chelsea Hotel in New York populated by characters taken directly from the Factory by Andy Warhol.
The Cor del Teatre Principal, directed by Francesc Bonnín, and the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears take part.
