Lithuanian director Oskaras Koršunovas directs this new version of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vania, one of the most important works of 19th century dramatic literature. It was premiered in 1899 at the Moscow Art Theater and in it the Russian playwright reflects an apocalyptic ending in each character.
Boredom, wasted life, unrequited love or endless work mark his existence, in one of the most desolate and representative works of the author, a fundamental representative of naturalism.
Translated into Catalan by Fedliu Formosa, L’oncle Vània is interpreted by Ivan Benet, Raquel Ferri, Anna Güell, Julio Manrique, Lluís Marco, Carme Sansa, Júlia Truyol and Kaspar Bindeman.
