Last concert of the XI Festival MúsicaMallorca, which has had the artistic direction of Toyo Masanori Tanaka. The German Orchestra Neubrandenburger Philharmonic, under the direction of Stefan Malzew, leads a program with three great titles of the classical repertoire.
For one, two works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro KV 492 Overture and Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, K. 488, with pianist Cassandra Wyss as soloist.
The second part will be dedicated to Stabat Mater, a musical piece shaped with liturgical sequence which Gioachino Rossini composed of traditional Catholic verses of the XIII century. It premiered in 1842 at the Ventadour in Paris.
As soloists will perform Karin Wolf-Bauer (soprano), Eva Maria Santana (mezzo-soprano), Milos Bulajic (tenor) and Holger Ohlmann (bass), they will be accompanied by the Cor del Teatre Principal and Capella Mallorquina, led by José María Moreno.
