The young Russian pianist Nikolay Khozyainov is the star of the third concert of the 41st edition of the Valldemossa Chopin Festival, which offers a repertoire entirely dedicated to the Polish composer for whom the festival is named.
The musical talent of Nikolay Khozyainov (Blagoveschensk, 1992) was discovered very early, since he began to play the piano at the age of 5. He studied at the Moscow Central Musical School making his public debut at age seven with Handel's Piano Concerto at the Moscow Conservatory. He currently lives in Germany, where he has obtained an advanced degree at the Hannover Hochschule fur Music under the direction of Professor Arie Vardi. He has performed on the most important stages in the world and with prestigious groups such as the London Philharmonia Orchestra or the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, among many others.
In 2011 he released his first album, with works by Chopin and Liszt, and a year later he recorded his second album with works by Chopin published by the Chopin Institute in Warsaw. His last album is from 2014 with a selection of pieces by Ravel, Chopin and Liszt.

The Chopin Festival is organized by the Associació Festivals Chopin de Valldemossa. It is directed by pianist Miquel Estelrich and, in this edition, it will program four concerts on Sundays from August 8 to 29, which are held in la Cartuja de Valldemossa.
