Alberto San Juan takes charge of this project, as director and performer, in which the Banda Obrera also collaborates. Nueva York en un poeta (New York in a Poet) reproduces the text - prose and poetry - that Federico García Lorca delivered in a conference-recital in 1930 at the Residencia de Señoritas de Madrid.
At that meeting, Lorca presented his book Poeta en Nueva York, where he recounted his lyrical impressions of the year he lived in that city. A stay that coincided with the Crack of 29, which perhaps led him to define capitalism as "a cruel economic system that will soon have to cut its throat."
Along with Alberto San Juan will perform the Banda Obrera, made up of Claudio de Casas (guitar), Pablo Navarro (double bass), Gabriel Marijuan (drums) and Miguel Malla (bag and clarinet).
