A long time ago, beyond the current Avingudes, everything was orchards. Farms around the city grew fresh produce, and water was the most valued commodity.
In 1247, King Jaume I granted Guillem Baster the fountain located in Esporles, from which the water that now irrigates a good part of the Palman orchard sprang. This tour of the Baster drought is led by Ricard Terradas and Toni Feliu.
