Palma City Council organizes this cycle around pop culture that is held from January 11 to 25 at the Teatre Municipal Mar i Terra. The program includes the screening of films and documentaries, talks, round tables, sets and concerts related to the topics covered. All programming with free admission.

January 11. 7:30 p.m. Cinema

Sound City by Dave Grohl (USA, 2013)
Language: original version in English and subtitled in Spanish

Synopsis: Through interviews and performances with legendary musicians and producers who worked at America's largest recording studio, Sound City, the documentary explores the human factor of music and the lost art of analog recording in a world increasingly digital. Psychedelic special: Jerry García, Syd Barrett, Frank Zappa and other great masters of psychedelia.
Participating in the round table: Damià Timoner (musician and great lover of psychedelia, especially the Grateful Dead), Joan Bibiloni (musician and music producer, experienced Mallorcan psychedelia of the 70s and 80s firsthand) and Tolo Aguilar (music collector). Presents and moderates: Pere Terrassa (coordinator of the Fira del Disc and Runaway Records)

Synopsis: This Johnny Depp-produced documentary combines never-before-seen archival footage of the band and the MacGowan family, along with animations by illustrators like Ralph Steadman. Crock of Gold is a celebration of Irish punk poet Shane MacGowan, lead singer and songwriter for The Pogues.

Joy Division. Myths and headline of British post-punk
Participating in the round table: Marcos Gendré (writer and music journalist. He has written various books on Manchester and Joy Division), Fermín Garcia (music collector, has worked in various record stores and music distributors) and Luis Imperiale (music collector, designer long run graph). Presents and moderates: Pere Terrassa (coordinator of the Fira del Disc and Runaway Records).
