The world of fashion and cuisine come together in this unique exhibition organized by the Asssociació d'Entrepreneurs of Binissalem in collaboration with the City Council and Pimeco. Besides the typical tapas and sweet, this year the fair is the new Eating contest fideus of vermar, a typical dish of Binissalem at harvest time.
The fair takes place on Saturday 14 and Sunday November 15 on the covered patio of theAntiga Escola Graduada of Binissalem where shops will also offer their articles with the latest in fashion. Visitors can eat comfortably in the tents set up outside. At the fair donuts and chocolate (Saturday and Sunday) and a cargolade on Sunday will also be made. Younger guests will enjoy a free bouncy castle on the two days of the fair.
The Competition menjar fideus de vermar takes place on Saturday at 20:00 pm and consists of eating as many of these noodles (a potent stew made with lamb) in half an hour, with special recognition to those who have eaten most dishes in the first 10 minutes. The winner will be declared Fideuer Major of Binissalem and will chair in 2016 the traditional dinner of Fideus de Vermar held in Can Arabi. This contest is open to everyone over 16 years and the registration period ends on Thursday, November 12 (Tel 629 35 56 88. Registration:. 10 €).
There will also be music, with performances by Martha Estravaganzza, Jaume Roka and la batucada Fylloxera del Infern, who will redouble their drums on Sunday at 12:30 hours.
