The Valldemossa Chopin Festival has a plastic part, which in the new edition of 2022 is represented by the exhibition of the Mallorcan artist Mateu Coll entitled Tintaigua.
The exhibition can be seen in the Chapter House of the Cartoixa de Valldemossa during the duration of the festival, whose concerts are held in the cloister.
Mateu Coll has been defined as a painter of the invisible, creator of books, sculptures that can be read without words, wonderful supports where writing is only pronounced through silence. This bookbinder and artist is also a tenacious researcher of transparency, as reflected in the work that illustrates the festival's poster.
The Chopin Festival 2022 is organized by the Associació Festivals de Valldemossa with the sponsorship of the Department of Culture, Heritage and Language Policy of the Consell de Mallorca.
Program 4 concerts in the month of August, which are held on Sundays in the cloister of the Cartoixa de Valldemossa with four young emerging pianists on the international level of classical music.
In addition to the concerts in the cloister, in the Sala Capitular de la Cartoixa you can see, from August 5 to 28, the exhibition Tintaigua by the Mallorcan plastic artist Mateu Coll, author of the poster for the new edition of the festival.
