The Night of the Virgins is here, and Calvià village celebrates it the traditional way: freshly fried doughnuts, music and the whole family in the square. 🍩🎶

The Calvià Vila festival committee and the residents' association organise the Bunyolada de les Verges, with the support of Calvià Town Council.

🌹 The tradition

The eve of Saint Ursula and the eleven thousand virgins, on 21 October, is one of Mallorca's best-loved nights. People eat bunyols, Mallorcan doughnuts, and boys used to serenade girls and bring them a bunch of flowers, a custom that has become a party for everyone.

ℹ️ Good to know: the workshop is aimed at young children. Come hungry: the doughnuts are fried on the spot.
