On 16 September 2026, Son Marroig welcomes one of the most promising young pianists on the European circuit, as part of the Deià International Music Festival. 🎹🌅

Chengyi Chen, born in China in 2005 and trained at the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, presents a recital spanning German romanticism, French impressionism and the Franckian school.

A demanding journey from late Beethoven to the most colourful piano writing of the turn of the century, rounded off by two great pages of the French romantic repertoire.

🏛️ A performer to watch

He began playing at six and moved to France in 2022. Winner of several international junior competitions, he graduated with honours and was appointed assistant and official vocal accompanist at the École Normale de Musique de Paris at just nineteen. He appears regularly at festivals and venues such as the Salle Cortot in Paris and La Seine Musicale.
