Shared reading becomes an accessible and welcoming environment in Palma with this group designed to enjoy literature without barriers. 📚✨

This literary initiative is jointly organised by the municipal library, the Coordinadora Balear de Persones amb Discapacitat, and the Associació de Lectura Fàcil.

📖 Adapted books and shared reading

The easy reading club is a gathering where people meet to read and discuss adapted books. It is specifically aimed at individuals with reading comprehension challenges, whether temporary or permanent.

This includes elderly people with cognitive decline, individuals with intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties or limited reading fluency, people with mental illnesses or brain injuries, as well as newcomers learning the language.

🤝 Collaboration and community inclusion

The sessions are organized in partnership with the Coordinadora Balear de Persones amb Discapacitat and the Associació de Lectura Fàcil, organizations dedicated to promoting cultural accessibility and literacy.

All gatherings take place at the Biblioteca Encarnació Viñas, a local library located in Palma's Pere Garau district that is dedicated to fostering community-driven initiatives.
