🎼 The concert

The bassoon is the low voice of the woodwind family: warm, expressive and with a touch of humour that great composers have always known how to use. It rarely steps into the spotlight, and this concert gives it the leading role.

Soloist and orchestra converse throughout the programme in a play of call and response, with Daniel Fernández on bassoon and the Orquestra Lauseta under the baton of Xisco Amengual.

🎻 The Orquestra Lauseta

The Orquestra Lauseta is a musical project that aims to make a cultural impact on Mallorcan society by bringing high-quality classical music performed by professional musicians to local audiences. Its concert series now reaches its tenth edition and has become a fixture of the Porreres cultural calendar.

The series is supported by Porreres Town Council, the Auditori de Porreres and the Consell de Mallorca.

ℹ️ Good to know: free entry until the venue is full. Arriving a little early is recommended.

✨ A Saturday evening to hear the bassoon as you have never heard it before, with free admission.
