📖 About the performance

This production focuses on Yermolai Lopakhin, the merchant who purchases the iconic estate, embodying the journey of social mobility. With an austere yet emotionally powerful staging, it shifts away from traditional plots to explore the protagonist's inner wounds and vulnerabilities.

Speaking directly to the audience, Lopakhin shares his humble beginnings, his insecurities, the ache of unrequited love, and the realization that wealth cannot mend emotional voids, weaving personal memories with thoughts on time and modern progress.
