The 24th edition gathered 108 works: 56 in Photography and 52 in Painting. From these, the jury selected 15 finalists — 6 photographs and 9 paintings — on show since late August.
The finalists are Alejandro Javaloyas, Carmen Cañadas, Cristina Vinyals, Danús, Enric Servera, Gabriela Seguí, Inula, Iñaki Abella, Joan Oliver, José Reyes Belzunce, Jose Juan Gimeno, Jorge Cabral, Mónica Vila, Xavier Ferrer Chust and Zaurín.
🏛️ Forty years of awards
Run by Calvià Town Council, the Rei en Jaume Awards support artistic and literary creation and encourage cultural life in the municipality. With more than four decades behind them, they are one of the longest-running events in the cultural calendar of the Ponent region.
ℹ️ Good to know: the exact start time will be announced in the days before the event on the Calvià Town Council website. The ceremony is held in Catalan and Spanish. Before it starts, it is a good moment to visit the finalists' exhibition, which closes that same day.
