Festivities of the Mare de Déu d'Agost 2026 (Sineu)

The Mare de Déu d'Agost Festival is a monthly celebration that transforms the historic streets and squares of Sineu with a dynamic program full of traditions, concerts, sports, family activities and community events that bring together locals and visitors.

This year's program offers something for everyone, from open-air cinema, live music and sports competitions to children's activities, theatre, exhibitions and some of Sineu's most cherished traditions.

One of the highlights is the opening speech by Campamentos de Amador, the long-serving Justice of the Peace of Sineu, officially inaugurating the celebrations. The program also includes the popular Mucada, one of Mallorca's most emblematic summer festivals, along with the traditional Corregudes d'Es Cos (horse races), lively street parades with the Colla de Xeremiers (traditional Mallorcan bagpipe band), spectacular fireworks, open-air salutes, and celebrations in honor of the Virgin of August.

This year's festivities introduce two major changes: the traditional fireworks return to Es Fossar, helping to reduce the risk of fires in the surrounding countryside, while the Corregudes d'Es Cos have been moved to late afternoon to improve the safety of both participants and animals during the summer heat.
