The JazzDara series, part of the Mallorca Jazz sa Pobla 2026 Festival program, begins with a performance by the Fran Ramos Quartet, a group led by Valencian saxophonist Fran Ramos. The concert will take place on July 30th at Casal de Can Verdal, an ideal venue for enjoying jazz in an intimate and personal setting.

Considered one of the most exciting emerging voices in Spanish jazz, Fran Ramos has developed a solid career collaborating with leading musicians on the national and international scene. His versatility as a performer and composer, coupled with a constant artistic curiosity, has allowed him to build his own unique language where tradition and innovation coexist naturally.

In Sa Pobla he will present Steppin' BeyondA project conceived over four years, reflecting her musical evolution and her interest in exploring new paths within contemporary jazz. Her compositions combine the freedom of improvisation with influences from folk and roots music, creating a modern, expressive, and nuanced sound. ✨

The quartet is completed by Diego Hervalejo at the piano, Camil Arcarazo to the double bass and Enric Fuster On drums, three musicians who bring great artistic complicity and turn each performance into an open, dynamic and spontaneous musical conversation.

Influenced by great references such as Keith Jarrett, John Coltrane and Wayne ShorterFran Ramos proposes a repertoire that looks to the future without losing sight of the essence of jazz, offering an intimate experience for both fans of the genre and those who wish to discover new proposals.
