The Pollença Festival returns this summer with a new edition dedicated to classical music and a program that brings together great soloists, international orchestras and some of the most outstanding ensembles on the European scene.

During the month of August, Pollença once again becomes one of the great meeting points for classical music lovers in Mallorca, with concerts at 10:00 PM which are set in the emblematic Convent of Saint Dominic, a space that provides a unique setting for musical evenings.

🎼 An August full of great performers

The 2026 program brings together top international names.

The cycle began on August 5 with the pianist Daniil Trifonov, accompanied by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Daniel Harding. He was followed, on August 8, by the cellist Alban Gerhardt next to the Balearic Islands Symphonic Orchestra, directed by Patrick Hahn.

But the program continues throughout the month:

📅 August 13 – Quartet Ébène

📅 August 15 – Freiburger Barockorchester, with Éva Borhi as violinist and conductor and soprano Jeanine De Bique. The program will be dedicated to Mozart, including works such as Exsultate, jubilate and Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter”.

📅 August 19 – Seong-Jin Cho, one of the great pianists of today.

📅 August 22 – Les Muffatti, Brussels Baroque Orchestra, with a program dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach that includes several of his concertos and orchestral suites.

📅 August 30 – Valencian Community Orchestra, owner of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, directed by Sir Mark ElderThe band will close the festival with the Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.

🎶 Much more than concerts

The Pollença Festival also aims to bring classical music to all audiences. Within its program "The festival for everyone"During June, free guided listening sessions were organized by Pere Estelrich, dedicated to works that are part of this year's program, such as the Enigma Variations by Elgar, Mozart's Symphony No. 41, and the overture to Tristan and Isolde Wagner.

Tickets for the concerts are priced between 25 and 45 eurosDepending on the area and the show, there are discounts for those attending several concerts, residents of Pollença, children under 14, holders of the Carnet Jove and other groups.
