Sa Marina Festival 2026

The Festes de Sa Marina bring summer festivities to the beautiful Port of Valldemossa. This celebration is part of three distinct festivals that honor Valldemossa's patron saints and its maritime heritage, transforming its picturesque streets, squares, and coastline into the stage for weeks of music, celebrations, and centuries-old traditions.

Summer in Valldemossa is a celebration of Mallorcan tradition, community, and culture. The village hosts three main festivals from July 17th to August 24th: the Feast of the Blessed (July 17–28), dedicated to Saint Catherine Thomas, the only native saint of Mallorca; Sa Marina Festival (August 11–16) on the coast; and the Sant Bartomeu Festival (August 19–24), celebration of the patron saint of Valldemossa.

Following the celebrations in the village, the Sa Marina Festival brings summer festivities to the beautiful port of Valldemossa from August 11–16, celebrating the Assumption of Mary. These coastal festivities combine maritime traditions, sporting events, local cuisine, and relaxed summer evenings overlooking the Mediterranean.

Set against one of Mallorca's most picturesque coastal landscapes, the program offers activities for all ages. Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy running races between Valldemossa and the port, cycling competitions, paddle surf races, fishing contests for adults and children, live music at sunset, and countless other activities for the whole family.

Food plays a central role in the celebrations, with the popular Sardinada Popular accompanied by traditional habanera music, as well as the much-loved Rice and Fish Competition where participants prepare their own seafood rice dishes before an evening of music and celebration by the sea.

The festivities also include a solemn Mass ceremony in honor of the Mare de Déu d'Agost, traditional games for children, an open-air film screening and relaxed sunset gatherings that perfectly capture the atmosphere of a Mediterranean summer.
