Description

One of the most anticipated summer celebrations in northeast Mallorca. For ten days, Capdepera celebrates Sant Bartomeu with concerts, traditional Mallorcan culture, family activities, sports, outdoor meals, parties, and community events.

The program combines local traditions with activities that happen almost every day for all ages, from the traditional opening speech, giants and parades to the lively Garbeo Gabellí, the Festa Blanca, the Nit de Foc (Correfoc), open-air theater and the legendary Gran Revetla.

Programming

• Monday, August 17 – Opening Day
  • Opening parade with the Music Band, Batucap Batucada and the Capdepera Giants
  • Official opening speech by Suso Rexach with traditional opening fireworks
  • Exhibition of traditional Ball de Bot followed by outdoor dancing
  • Free family film screening: Manual per superherois
  • Sopar a la Fresca (community outdoor dinner)
  • Musical bingo to close the night
  • Garbeo Gabellí: transforms Capdepera into a great street party with DJs performing simultaneously in Plaça Constitució, Plaça des Sitjar and Carrer Center
  • Open day at the Municipal Swimming Pool with family activities and aquagym
  • 3x3 Basketball Tournament
  • Rock night with live performances by Encoratjats
  • Children's afternoon full of games and entertainment

  • Anniversary celebration for members of the local senior citizens' association with live dancing

Spaces and facilities

• Fireta (fair): open from August 17 to 25 in the Can Patilla car park
• The events take place in multiple locations: Plaça de l'Orient, Plaça des Sitjar, Plaça Constitució, Parc de s'Alzinar, Piscina Municipal, Es Figueral football field, Teatre de Capdepera, Torre de Canyamel and other spaces throughout the town

Recommendations

Visitors are encouraged to bring a reusable cup during the festivities to help reduce waste.
