Alfredo Oyagüez Montero, artistic director of the Deià International Music Festival, shares the stage with Danish pianist Kasper Bach in a format that alternates performance with conversation about what is being played.

📖 The programme

Works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, Turina, Silvestrov, Debussy and Granados: a path from the baroque to the contemporary minimalism of Valentin Silvestrov, by way of German romanticism and Spanish nationalism.

The selection is not after completeness but after a thread: what connects one piece to the next, and why. Hence the talk-concert format.

The festival's Professional Days are a meeting point for performers, programmers and audiences, with open sessions where music is explained as well as played. Sa Bassa Rotja, in Porreres, is their home.
