📖 Neophyten and the sonic dialogue
Neophyten is a song cycle for voice, recorders, percussion, and audio/video electronics. Developed in collaboration with Rolf Hermann, the piece explores the sound, rhythm, and intertextual layers of Hermann's poems.
With an approximate duration of 90 minutes, the work evolves between written composition and free improvisation. Spoken words gradually emerge from acoustic sound fields to craft a virtual soundscape that channels the sensuality and vulnerability of Hermann's poetry into pure sound.
🎶 ME_MMIX Festival and the artists
The ME_MMIX Festival is dedicated to experimental arts and progressive music. This concert pairs UMS'n JIP with Spanish composer and percussionist Luis Tabuenca in a dramaturgical structure where acoustic instruments and electronics coalesce seamlessly.
