📖 From Baroque chaos to Classical drama

The concert traverses the fascinating musical contrasts of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The program opens with Jean-Féry Rebel's Le Chaos and Les Caractères de la danse, presents the guest soloist who received first prize in the VII Concurs de Joves Ensemble Tramuntana, continues with the famous Air from J.S. Bach's Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068, and concludes with Luigi Boccherini's dramatic Symphony in D minor, Op. 12, No. 4, “La casa del diavolo”.

The string section brings together director Barry Sargent alongside violinists Marta Jiménez, Albert Grimalt, Mayumi Sargent, Margalida Gual, and Enric Pastor, accompanied by violas and orchestra members.

🎶 Ensemble Tramuntana and the Early Music Festival

Founded in 2014 under Barry Sargent's musical direction to foster local musical talent across the Balearic Islands, Ensemble Tramuntana performs on historical and modern instruments. The group also organizes the Nits Clàssiques de la Tramuntana and an annual competition for young soloists.

✨ An exceptional opportunity to experience early orchestral music in the heart of Palma.
