Ajuntament de Palma and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute of Warsaw present a joint exhibition in collaboration with Museu de Mallorca, Associació Can Vivot, and Casa Museu Can Marquès.

📖 The everyday art of Chopin and Sand

The exhibition explores how their time on the island shaped their respective creative works across two distinct exhibition rooms.

The first room focuses on local landscapes and traditional culinary culture. It features three landscape paintings on loan from Museu de Mallorca, alongside two glass bell jars with flowers and a collection of copper cookware and popular kitchen utensils.

The second room displays museography from the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw. Highlights include twelve original preludes, a large painting depicting the composer's final moments at the piano, a bronze cast of his hand, and portraits of both figures.

This project connects Mallorcan heritage with European musical history at Castell de Bellver, reflecting the artistic legacy that emerged from Chopin and Sand's everyday life on the island.
