Among the most unique offerings of the Mallorca Jazz sa Pobla Festival 2026 is GloJazzada, a show that unites two forms of improvisation with deep cultural roots: jazz and Mallorcan glosa (a traditional Mallorcan form of sung poetry). The event will take place on August 13th in the Crestatx area, offering a one-of-a-kind experience where music and words are created in real time.

GloJazzada breaks down the boundaries between disciplines to demonstrate that improvisation is a universal language. While the musicians build melodies, harmonies, and rhythms on stage, the glosadores respond with improvised verses inspired by the music, the atmosphere, and the interaction with the audience. The project brings together a distinguished group of musicians made up of Enric Fuster (battery), Joan Garcias (double bass), Diego Hervalejo (piano), Bartomeu Garcias (trombone), Sinéad Cormican (violin) and Miquel Bennàssar (cello). Along with them will participate some of the most renowned glossadores (improvisational poets) from Mallorca: Maribel Servera, Miquel Àngel Adrover, Alicia Olivares and Mateu Xurí, leading figures in the art of contemporary glossing.
