📖 Joan Alcover's final thoughts

What goes through a poet's mind when life reaches its final chapter? La Balanguera imagines Joan Alcover's closing moments, transforming his memories, poems, and ghosts into a sequence of dreamlike scenic imagery.

Death, a recurring presence throughout his life, dialogues with the figures inhabiting his memory and with the verses that established him as one of the major voices in Catalan literature. The show delves into the intimate universe of the author of Cap al tard and the poem that names this production, now Mallorca's official anthem, presenting poetry as the ultimate refuge in the face of loss.

The production weaves acting, poetry, music, visual projections, and stage imagery together to offer a contemporary perspective on the writer.
