Shoemaker and comic artist: two crafts that seem far apart but have more in common than you might think. Ten footwear companies and ten artists team up to create shoes that tell stories. 👞🎨

👞 How it was made

Starting from the templates of the leather pieces that make up a shoe, each artist created a comic. The leathers were printed and each company assembled the final shoe for the exhibition.

Companies: Apache, Bestard, Cabrit, Carmina, Kollflex, Lottusse, Martina Candela, Mogé, Tony Mora and Tiamer.

Artists: Anapurna, Jaume Balaguer, Sebastià Cabot, Álex Fito, Pere Joan, Tonia Maravell, Marta Masana, Guillermo Sanna, Bartolomé Seguí and Margalida Vinyes.

🏭 The Raiguer, land of shoes

Inca and the Raiguer district have been the heart of Mallorca's footwear industry for over a century. The museum tells that story and now crosses it with comics.
