📖 An intimate journey through instrumental tango

Hailing from La Plata, Leonardo Cerván presents a repertoire exploring the emotional depth and diverse textures of instrumental tango. Drawing on classical guitar technique and blending in subtle references to academic jazz, his performance offers a refined, fresh perspective on the genre.

The programme encompasses tangos canción, creole waltzes, and celebrated classics. The concert honours the memory of his mentor Luis María Soria by performing his arrangements, complemented by works by Aníbal Arias and Cerván's own adaptations, highlighting the guitar as a cultural and emotional bridge between Argentina and the Hispanic world.
