Ornithopods represent one of the most diverse groups of bipedal herbivorous dinosaurs. Their remains range from the Jurassic to the end of the Cretaceous period and have been unearthed on all continents across the globe.

This talk explores recent discoveries regarding South American elasmarians and hadrosaurids (duck-billed dinosaurs). Additionally, fossilized eggs, tracks, beaks, spines, and endocranial casts found in Iberian deposits—such as Burgos, Aragón, and the Pyrenees—will be examined and compared with South American dinosaur faunas.

🏛️ About the Speaker and the Series

Penélope Cruzado-Caballero holds a PhD in Paleontology from the University of Zaragoza, teaches at the University of La Laguna, and specializes in ornithopods, boasting over a hundred scientific publications and extensive fieldwork in world-renowned sites.
