Palma opens its doors. The sixth edition of Open House Palma, the architecture festival for non-architects, offers free guided visits to more than fifty buildings across the city. 🏛️💧
This year the focus is on water: how it has shaped the city, how we live with it and what strategies we need to integrate it in the future.

🏠 The buildings
New this year: an apartment in the Fénix building, the aparthotel designed by Luis Gutiérrez Soto (1957-1959) and listed by DOCOMOMO, with gardens by Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí; Can Balaguer, a house of medieval origin remodelled in the 17th century; and the Monastery of La Real, one of Palma's most important historic sites.
🚶 Open Walks, talks and families
All week long there are walking routes along the Torrent Gros, the Molinar, the windmills of El Jonquet, sa Riera and the flood of 1403, Son Gotleu and Son Quint; talks (Open Talk), family workshops on Gaudí, community theatre and the exhibition Palma Ciutat d'Aigua at the COAIB, opening on Monday 9.
On Friday 13 the first Open House Lab takes place at Es Baluard and, in the evening, Open Music in the courtyard of Can Balaguer.
ℹ️ Good to know: all visits are guided and many are in Catalan or Spanish. For buildings that require booking, reserve through each building's page and cancel if you cannot make it.
✨ A rare chance to see inside the Palma that is usually closed.
