Palma is a city of many origins, and you can taste it in its kitchens. From 1 to 15 October, Cuines del Món a Palma invites you to travel the world without leaving the city, one restaurant at a time. 🌍🍽️

This is the first edition of a food route organised by FERIB, sponsored by Palma City Council and PalmaActiva, with the support of Estrella Damm, Mallorca Delicia, Fires i Festes, Restauración Mallorca CAEB and Taste Mallorca.

Behind the bar and in the kitchen are people who came from other countries and brought their ingredients and family recipes with them. The route brings together Colombian, Peruvian, Cuban, Mexican, Argentinian and Brazilian food; Turkish, Moroccan, Armenian and Georgian; Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean; as well as Italian, French, Greek, German, Belgian and Czech.

From the old town to Pere Garau, from the Paseo Marítimo to Can Pastilla and s'Arenal: a way to discover the diversity of Palma's neighbourhoods through their flavours.

Check the list of restaurants on the website, with each one's cuisine, menu and location. Pick a destination, or several: the route is designed to be repeated. When you arrive, ask for the Cuines del Món menu.

📖 About the concert

Elgar wrote his Cello Concerto in 1919, just after the First World War: an intimate, melancholic work that has become a cornerstone of the repertoire. It is performed by Kian Soltani, one of the most outstanding cellists of his generation.

After the interval, Also sprach Zarathustra, Richard Strauss's tone poem inspired by Nietzsche, whose opening sunrise became world-famous through 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra (OSIB) presents its 2026-2027 subscription season at the Auditorium: eleven concerts from October to May, always on Thursdays, with leading international soloists and its principal conductor, Pablo Mielgo.

🎪 The Archangels and Demons

The dance of the Archangels and Demons of Calonge is one of Mallorca's most deeply rooted ritual dances. It is performed in the church square on the patron saint's day, accompanied by traditional pipers.

ℹ️ Good to know: most events are in Catalan. Tickets for the pamboli supper and the paella must be bought in the village shops before 22 September, and you are asked to bring your own plate, glass and cutlery.

🎨 The first Mostra d'Art

The big news this year is the Mostra d'Art, the first art exhibition organised by Muro Town Council. Up to 50 artists show painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, illustration, video art, performance and installations in the old school building and its courtyards. The theme is open, and the works are selected by a panel made up of an artist, a cultural manager and the council's Culture Department.

The aim is to bring art closer to the public: the works are not for sale during the exhibition, they are there to be seen and enjoyed.

From 14 to 18 October, Inca and Palma fill up with comic panels for a new edition of CòmicNostrum, the Balearic Islands' major comics festival. 📚🎨

It is organised by the Clúster de Còmic i Nous Mèdia de Mallorca, which has run the festival since 2012. A meeting point for professionals and fans, with international authors, publishers, exhibitions and a comics market.

The 2026 line-up features ZWIRN, an Austrian party and après-ski band with over 3,500 concerts; Happy Bavarians, a Munich showband with traditional brass, alphorn and Schuhplattler; Mallorca-based schlager singer Mia Weber; and Lola, a familiar voice at the big Oktoberfests. More bands, DJs and shows will be announced.

🍖 Bavarian food

Whole grilled pork knuckle, half spit-roast chicken, Leberkäse, Weisswurst with pretzel, Obatzda and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, plus vegetarian options. To drink, litre Maß steins of original Hofbräu from Munich.

✨ Highlights

There will be a dirndl contest, judged on outfit, accessories and a properly tied bow, and a special surprise with FC Germania Mallorca, the island's first German football club.

ℹ️ Good to know: weekends fill up fast, so booking a table in advance is recommended. Reserved tables are held from 5.00 pm for 30 minutes. There is ample parking in front of and behind the tent.

This year's official poster features a crab designed by Olaf MeyerInspired by one of the Mediterranean's most famous inhabitants, the festival's character is resilient, tenacious, and determined to forge its own path. It serves as a metaphor for the festival itself: moving differently, exploring new perspectives, and making room for stories that don't fit into the mainstream.

With peak season over, La Mostra invites you to discover the local food scene at a calmer time of year: from seafront restaurants in Palmanova to traditional eateries inland in Calvià Vila and Es Capdellà.

CaixaForum Palma Microconcerts

CaixaForum Palma's Micro-Concerts offer a unique way to enjoy live music through small-scale performances that bring the audience closer to the artists in an intimate setting. This series features a carefully curated selection of musical acts spanning various genres and styles, providing an opportunity to discover new talent and experience music from a more personal perspective. The program includes concerts ranging from jazz and classical to electronic, folk, and other contemporary music.

The concerts are held at CaixaForum Palma, a cultural space committed to bringing music and the arts to the public through high-quality programming. The series will run until November 28, 2026.

• September 19, 2026: 3 Pilgrims – Acoustic concert of country and bluegrass in trio format with original compositions and reference versions performed with a personal touch.
• October 16, 2026: Izan Blasco – A journey through contemporary music with the soprano saxophone as the protagonist.
• November 13, 2026: Harp and Flute Duo – Program including works by Albéniz, Piazzolla and other composers.
• November 28, 2026: Sira Hernández – Piano recital dedicated to her own compositions, closing the cycle.

More than fifty women artists, from the pioneers of romance comics to today's graphic novels and manga. An exhibition that traces the history of Spanish comics through the women who drew them. 🎨📚

📖 The exhibition

Visitors will see how the first women artists were confined to romance and fairy-tale comics and how, step by step, they made their way into every genre: from graphic novels to superheroes, from manga to period drama.

It includes work by Purita Campos, Carmen Barbarà, Marika Vila, Mariel Soria, Laura Pérez Vernetti, Ana Miralles, Teresa Valero, Montse Martín, Studio Kosen and Mallorcan artist Margalida Vinyes.

🏛️ Casal Solleric

An 18th-century baroque palace on the Born, now Palma City Council's contemporary art centre and one of the most visited exhibition spaces in the city.

ℹ️ Good to know: closed on Mondays. Exhibition texts are in Catalan. During the festival, Ana Miralles and Marika Vila take part in the activities at Fàbrica Ramis in Inca.

Gaudí in La Seu - Exhibition

The Cathedral-Basilica of Santa María de Mallorca will host the exhibition "Gaudí at the Cathedral of Mallorca. Liturgy, art and modernity", an exhibition that explores in an informative and documented way the influence of Antoni Gaudí on the Mallorcan temple.

Palma's after-work now has its own route: natural wine, a pintxo or tapa and some of the city's most characterful bars, every Tuesday and every Wednesday. 🍷🎶

Correvins is a wine and tapas route through two Palma neighbourhoods. Every week, participating bars and restaurants serve a glass of wine with a pintxo at a fixed price.

The idea is simple: finish work, meet a friend and stroll between small bars discovering honest wines, many of them natural and from small producers. A different way to get to know Palma on a weekday, away from the most touristy routes.
